In the second pit stop, players will be asked to read a short paragraph which presents the basic idea behind the scenario. After reading the paragraph, players then choose among 4-6 different statements to identify the one that best represents the claim being made. Players can rotate between the different possible claims by clicking the arrow button. Once they have decided which claim is the best representation of the author’s argument, they will click “Submit.”
There is only one correct answer. Students will be penalized for incorrect answers by losing speed boost, so there is an incentive for reading and getting it right rather than guessing. Once they have identified the correct claim, players will return to the race and drive to the next pit stop.
